Nathalie Lelong-Lordereau

I am a certified play therapist with 20 years of experience helping children.

My journey has taken me through various countries, which taught me never to assume but always listen first. It has given me a deep respect for the unique ways children express themselves. In my practice, play provides the perfect space to release and process the emotions that go beyond words.

Here, your child will find a gentle, open-minded space to express themselves safely, grow, and find their balance. I am here to meet them exactly where they are, and to walk alongside you, as a family, every step of the way.

My Background

I gained my qualification in psychology in France, then worked in supporting children and teenagers within paediatric residential units. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to helping young people navigate a wide range of challenges, including ADHD, selective mutism, bereavement and grief, chronic illness, and complex psychological needs.

Since moving to the UK in 2018, I initially integrated into the British education system by working as a teaching assistant in mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools. This experience gave me a deep understanding of the UK school system.

Today, as a fully qualified play therapist, I combine this rich clinical and educational expertise to offer dedicated one-to-one and group therapeutic sessions, creating a safe, playful, and nurturing space where every child can thrive.

My qualifications include:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology - University of Rouen, France

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy - University of Chichester

  • Certificate in Adoption Support Counselling - The Albany Centre, in partnership with Barnardo's

  • Advanced Training in Developmental Trauma - Beacon House

  • Infant Observation Training, Esther Bick Method - AFPPEA, Pr. B. Golse, France

I am a Registered Member of PTUK (Play Therapy United Kingdom) and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society.

In accordance with professional standards, my practice is supported by mandatory monthly clinical supervision and regular Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to ensure the highest quality of care for your child.
