Frequent questions

Useful Information

To help you better understand the process and practical aspects of play therapy, here are the answers to the most common questions.

Tarifs

Duration of a session

Therapy is an investment, and I am committed to making it as accessible as possible. Therefore, I offer concessionary rates based on individual circumstances. Please feel free to discuss this with me during our first contact.

To build trust and consistency, sessions last 45 minutes and take place on a weekly basis. We typically begin with a cycle of 12 sessions. Around the 8th week, we will hold a parent meeting to review your child's progress together.

If we decide to end the therapy, this structured approach ensures we have dedicated time to gently guide your child through the process of closure and a healthy separation.

Clothing

Please dress your child in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. Play therapy can involve art materials, sand, or floor play, and children should feel completely free to explore without worrying about staining their clothes.

First Appointment

1

The initial consultation is for parents only. It is a confidential space where we can discuss your concerns, review your child's developmental history, and explore how play therapy can best support your family. Your child does not attend this first meeting.

A Helpful Resource for your Child

To help your child feel secure and curious about their first visit, you can read through the PTUK Children’s Guide together. It is a wonderful, stress-free way to introduce the playroom.

Location

The location of our play therapy sessions takes place at the centre of quozy village near Loughborough, Quorn. Our play therapy room is designed to be a calm, welcoming and child-friendly environment where children can feel safe and express themselves. Parents can feel confident knowing their child is a secure space where every session is centred on their child’s comfort and safe.
